Back in 2001, Carol and I had the pleasure of taking a trip to France as part of daughter Tracy's graduating French class at Harrison High School in Cobb County, Ga. This trip was Tracy's gift from us for excellent academic performance thru High School.
We teamed up with two other high schools (from Ohio and NY) once we arrived in Paris. The trip extended from June 13th thru June 27th. This was the first trip Carol and I had with a tour guide and all expenses paid including tour bus/driver etc. Above right is a photo of our wonderful tour guide--Corinne-with statue in Nimes, France.
This also was the first time we toured all of France--our previous trip to France had been limited to crossing the English channel via the Eurostar rail into Paris and staying inside the city for a few days.
Here are the cities we traved to/thru/stayed in (flying into Paris and home from Nice):
Paris
Rouen
Caen
Bayeux
Omaha Beach
Mont-St Michel
St-Malo
Rennes
Lemans
Tours
Limoges
Chamboard Castle
Chenonems Castle
Sarlat
Las Caux
Montauban
Toulouse
Carcassone
Narbonne
St.Pierre Lamus
Nimes
Pont DuGard
Avignon
Orange
Aix-en-Province
Nice
Eze
Monaco
Monte Carlo
Below are photos that somewhat capture the beauty of the country, sights, sounds, and yes, people. These photos are in no particular order.
I hope you enjoy!
